Joyce Werry - Piano & Voice Teacher

When teaching Voice and Piano I focus on communicating proper artistry and technique and have my student's apply what they have learned to the songs they are working on. I teach several styles of music. Musical Theater, Blues, Classical, Country, Folk/Traditional, Jazz, New Age, Religious/Devotional, Rock/Pop. I teach Voice to students 12 yrs old through adult and Piano students 5 yrs old though adult. 

I've been teaching and performing for over 25 years. I love working with kids and adults.  I feel honored to have had students who have won competitions, gotten music scholarships and those who have gone on to make music their career. 

My Performance History: Portland Opera, Portland Opera at Carnegie Hall, Seattle Opera, Seattle Opera Previews, Church Soloist and Song Leader, Weddings and Special Events. 

College: Music Education, Gonzaga University

I guide each and every student through the basics of reading and playing and singing music. I believe that music instruction should be enjoyable, built on a solid technical foundation, inspire creativity, and match each individual's goals.
